A strategic public health professional with a driving passion for addressing the social determinants of health, Trina has a successful track record of engaging policymakers, government agencies, community organizations and academia in collective action to address today’s most pressing social issues.  In her last non-profit role as Chief Innovation Officer at Operation Food Search, Trina created the Fresh Rx portfolio of research demonstration projects, exploring how food prescription programs can be applied to address nutrition security through the healthcare system with a focus on achieving long-term sustainability through institutional, state and federal policy change.

Prior to joining Operation Food Search, Trina worked at the March of Dimes as the State Director of Program Services & Government Affairs, where she implemented a multi-year plan aimed at reducing Missouri’s preterm birth rate.  Trina is a graduate of the University of Illinois, holding a Master of Science in Public Health in Community Health and a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences.
