Since its founding, Empower Missouri has hosted a yearly gathering of anti-poverty advocates to learn together, make connections, and advance our mission. In 2026, we’re celebrating 125 years of People-Powered Policy Change, and our Anti-Poverty Advocates Summit will be a highlight of that celebration.
Join us in Columbia, Missouri, on October 1st and 2nd for our 125th Anti-Poverty Advocates Summit & Anniversary Celebration. As always, this year’s event will feature two days of learning through keynote presentations, breakout session speakers, and coalition work time. And to celebrate the 125th Anniversary, this year’s event will also include a celebratory dinner and awards ceremony on Thursday, October 1st (included in the cost of your Summit ticket).
We have an incredible lineup of speakers planned for this year’s event, with full tracks in each of our priority issue areas (affordable housing, food security, and criminal justice reform), as well as additional sessions focused on skill-building, advocacy tools, and other cross-sector issues. You can download a full preview of the event here, and make sure you’re signed up for our emails to get more details as they are announced!
Limited Scholarships are Still Available!
To ensure that all voices can be represented at the Summit, we offer full and partial scholarships for attendees. A full scholarship includes registration fees, accommodations and a gas card, while a partial scholarship will cover registration fees. Limited scholarship space is available, so apply today!
