Erica Robbins grew up on her family farm in Marquand, MO, where her love of our land and the humans and creatures who call it home began. After completing her degrees in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Development at Southeast Missouri State University, she moved abroad to Barcelona, Spain where she pursued her passion for international education and cultural exchange, teaching English to speakers of other languages for seven years, empowering them to find their voices in a foreign language and foreign land. She returned to Missouri in 2016 and has spent the last 10 years advocating for change within the public and private school sectors, assisting individuals experiencing homelessness find safe, stable housing throughout the MO Balance of State Continuum of Care, and connecting residents across Southeast Missouri to the resources they need to live a healthy thriving life. Erica is elated to join Empower Missouri as an Affordable Housing Policy Manager, bring her global perspective to the table, and continue promoting the ongoing pursuit of universal human rights and dignity for all.
