On Thursday, September 17th, Empower Missouri held a webinar to discuss the 2020 General Election and voting rights. Empower Missouri was joined by Denise Lieberman from the Advancement Project, Kathleen Farrell from the League of Women Voters, Nimrod Chapel, Jr, who is the President of the Missouri Chapter of the NAACP, Mikel Whittier from the Clean Missouri Campaign and Mary Timmel from the No on Amendment 3 Campaign. Our panelists talked about the 2020 General Election and highlighted measures that will be placed on the local ballot. The panelists also discussed voter suppression issues in the 2020 election and underscored the need to vote no on Amendment 3, which is the ballot initiative to overturn fair maps in Missouri.
