Karen Englert

Board Member

As the Chief Executive Officer, Karen works in partnership with the Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers to develop high-quality business strategies, ensure alignment of objectives to advance the mission, and oversee all operations and business activities for Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Charles County.

Karen holds multiple advanced degrees in Education, Special Education, and Reading as well as her Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation and she is a Certified Behavioral Consultant with an emphasis in DISC Communication.

She is passionate about providing resources our community’s children need to help equip them with a vision for their future. Karen is dedicated to uniting people by encouraging collaboration, exemplifying mentorship, and engaging in service. To generate a greater impact in the child development field, Karen serves as a Board Member for the Missouri Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs and chairs the Advocacy Committee.

Karen prides herself in her ability to develop strong people and teams. Over the years she has gained recognition as an influential leader and is a frequently requested speaker at the local, state, and regional levels. She excels in helping other nonprofit leaders develop their staff teams, deepen board engagement, drive resource development, and design actionable strategic plans. Karen was recently named a 2024 St. Louis Titan 100 honoree in recognition of her dynamic leadership.

She is active in the greater St. Charles community, currently serving on the Board of Directors for ATHENA Leadership Foundation of St. Charles County, as co-chair for the ATHENA Leadership Mentoring Program and in other service-based organizations including Sunrise Rotary Club and St. Charles County Ambulance District Community Advisory Board. She and her husband Jeff reside in O’Fallon.
