Town Hall: Food Access for a Lifetime (Cape Girardeau)

Connect and learn with us this month as we work toward making sure that Missourians of all ages have food on the table! Empower Missouri’s team is holding Town Halls this summer and fall to hear from Missouri communities.

For older adults good nutrition is key to continuing to live an independent and healthy life, but with rising food costs, many older Missourians are finding it harder to make ends meet.

The good news? There are resources and programs available to help.

Join Empower Missouri on Thursday, September 25th, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., at the Cape Girardeau Public Library for an informative and engaging event where you can learn about:

  • State and federal programs like SNAP that support a healthy, balanced diet.
  • What programs you may qualify for.
  • How you can help influence policy change to end hunger.

Refreshments & brunch items will be provided, so please RSVP below to let us know you’re coming. You can also sign up for our newsletters to make sure you hear about additional upcoming events or other opportunities to get involved.
