Welcome to our 2024-2025 New Board Members!

As we continue to grow our organization and our impact throughout the state, we are excited to welcome new members to our Board of Directors for this fiscal year. Our Board is a dedicated group of anti-poverty advocates who are deeply committed to our work to change policies that perpetuate cycles of poverty. We are proud to have this experienced, diverse, and devoted group leading Empower as we embark on our next strategic plan, launching exciting new policy campaigns, training programs, and other initiatives to work towards our goal of eradicating poverty in Missouri.

Our 2024-2025 New Board Members

Randall Wollenberg

Randall joined the Board midway through the 2023-2024 fiscal year as our Treasurer. He recently retired after over 20 years of working in the banking and mortgage industry, and is from the St. Louis region. Randall is looking forward to working with Empower Missouri to help make a difference across the state.

Deitra Colquitt, EdS

Deitra is an elementary school principal in the St. Louis region, dedicated to ensuring the world see the unique brilliance within the students and community she serves. She has over 20 years of experience as an educator, and is excited to join the Board and work alongside our supporters to disrupt systems of oppression that hinder people of color.

Karen Englert

As the Chief Executive Officer of Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Charles County, Karen is passionate about providing resources our community’s children need to help equip them with a vision for their future. She is dedicated to uniting people by encouraging collaboration, exemplifying mentorship, and engaging in service, and is excited to bring her years of experience to Empower Missouri’s work.

Kimberly S. Henderson, MSOD

Kimberly currently serves as the Housing Services Manager for the Salvation Army’s Kansas City Area Command, managing a portfolio of housing programs that includes mobile outreach, permanent support housing programs, and affordable apartment communities for seniors. She believes that housing is a human right, and is excited to work with Empower Missouri to that end.

Pierre Yancy

Pierre has an accomplished background in technology, philanthropy, marketing and political communications. He has served as the Director of Communications for numerous political campaigns, and has also served on the Board of Directors for two Kansas City area nonprofits, in addition to his work with Empower Missouri.

Rachel Tripp

Rachel is a natural fit for Empower Missouri, with over 10 years of experience as a social worker advocating for her clients and community. She currently serves as the program coordinator at Community Foundation of the Ozarks, in addition to membership and leadership roles in several community organizations in southwest Missouri.

Our new members join our existing Directors and represent a wide variety of experiences and perspectives from six communities across the state. Our Board brings a vast knowledge in each of our core issues and other areas deeply connected to Empower Missouri’s work, and years of experience in leadership in both the public and private sectors. We’re grateful for the leadership of the entire 2024-2025 Board of Directors as we work towards a future where every Missourian can have their basic needs met.
