Jet McDonald (they/them/theirs) is a nonprofit communications specialist who has lived in St. Louis since 2013. They have worked in spaces centered on DEI, LGBTQIA+ advocacy, and community education and have experience as a mental health peer counselor. They believe in the power of collective care and accessible organizing, including online. Jet holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociocultural Anthropology and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing. They stay busy with activities like freelance journalism and dance classes. As Empower Missouri’s Communications Manager, Jet is thrilled to play a part in the organization’s efforts to strengthen community connections and spark systems-level change.
