Eric Reiter

Community Justice Intern

Eric (they/them) is thrilled to be joining the Empower Missouri team as the Community Justice Intern. They bring with them over a decade of experience in policy advocacy, grassroots organizing, direct services, and political campaigns. Born and raised in rural Nebraska, they grew up with the values of hard work, perseverance, and caring for their community. They are currently working toward their Master’s Degree in Social Work from the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis, where they are also a fellow at the Gephardt Institute for Civic and Community Engagement and on the planning committee for the Midwest Impact Investing Symposium. As a graduate student they have had the opportunity to learn and work across the St. Louis region at North Newstead Association and in the office of Congresswoman Cori Bush.
