The Empower Missouri Board of Directors announced today that Jeanette Mott Oxford (“JMO”) departed the organization last week. JMO played a key role in the evolution of Empower Missouri, first as Executive Director and then as Director of Policy & Organizing. We are grateful for zir leadership both within this organization and as a Missouri State Representative, and we thank zir for many years of work for the cause of social justice. Empower Missouri’s staff of organizers remain committed to the work to secure basic human needs and equal justice for every person in our state. We look forward to sharing updates with you as they develop.
