Debate on a package of federal coronavirus relief is expected during the week of September 7, so we will have an update to share. In addition, new U.S. Census data related to poverty, income, and health insurance coverage will be released on September 15 and 17, enabling us to provide very timely evidence to policymakers about challenges to households related to food security.

Deborah Weinstein has been Executive Director of the Coalition on Human Needs since 2003. Prior to that, she served 9 years as Director of the Family Income Division at the Children’s Defense Fund, after a decade as Executive Director at the Massachusetts Human Services Coalition.
In her four decades of advocacy experience, Debbie has brought groups together from across the nation to fight for fair and commonsense federal and state budgets.
