On March 19th, Empower Missouri held a webinar to talk about the first half of Missouri’s legislative session and Clean Slate Expungement.
The webinar started with Empower Missouri’s Executive Director Jeanette Mott Oxford (“JMO”) discussing important social justice updates from the General Assembly. She was then joined by Ellen Suni from UMKC School of Law and several other speakers from UMKC to discuss Clean Slate Expungement. The Missouri initiative will automatically seal or expunge qualifying criminal records for people who remain crime-free for a set period of time.
