Liza Lieberman is Director of Public Policy at MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger, advancing policies that protect and strengthen federal nutrition programs and advocating for approaches that address the root causes of hunger. She co-chairs the Hunger Subcommittee of the Interreligious Working Group on Domestic Human Needs, a coalition of national faith-based organizations from a variety of religious backgrounds. Liza joined the team at MAZON after nearly a decade of experience at HIAS, the global Jewish nonprofit that protects refugees. Her tenure at HIAS spanned various public affairs roles related to advocacy, community engagement, and fundraising. She is a proud volunteer counselor with Crisis Text Line and holds a degree in International Relations from American University.
