Community Justice ManagerJerika White joined Empower Missouri as the Criminal Justice Policy Manager in January 2025. She brings years of experience in grassroots and faith-based organizing, legislative advocacy, and national policy work focused on gun violence, mass incarceration, and criminalization. A proud St. Louis resident, Jerika has worked extensively with faith leaders, directly impacted communities, and statewide coalitions.
At Empower, Rika leads the statewide Community Justice Coalition, advances the Clean Slate Missouri campaign, and works to establish a Parole Oversight Board. She is committed to building people power to create bold, transformative policy that strengthens Missouri communities.
She looks forward to building with the community members that make up the Criminal Justice Coalition to organize and learn and work around the policy issues.
