Deitra Colquitt is an elementary school principal who is dedicated to ensuring the world sees the unique brilliance that lies within the community and students she serves. After 20+ years in education as a teacher, instructional coach, and now school leader, Deitra is committed to creating opportunities for people of color to thrive in their genius. Beyond her professional work, Deitra is a mother and wife. Deitra is the mother to Khloe, Demi, & Trey, and wife to Derrick. Deitra is ecstatic to join the Empower Missouri Board and work alongside others who seek to disrupt systems of oppression that hinder people of color.
