Advocates Book Club: Homelessness is a Housing Problem, Section 2 (Chapters 4-5)

Are you interested in learning more about poverty in Missouri, and how YOU can help change the systems that perpetuate it? Do you want to meet other advocates and expand your network? Then join our Advocates Book Club!

This winter’s books are When We Walk By Homelessness Is a Housing Problem. Discussions will be split into two parts, with an afternoon (12 to 1 p.m.) and evening (6 to 7 p.m.) opportunity to discuss each section. All book discussions will be held on Zoom, so you are welcome to join from anywhere!

  • When We Walk By: Forgotten Humanity, Broken Systems, and the Role We Can Each Play in Ending Homelessness in America, by Kevin F. Adler, Donald W. Burnes, and Amanda Banh Andrijana Bilbija
    • Part One (Chapters 1-7): January 23rd
    • Part Two (Chapters 8-13): February 20th
  • Homelessness is a Housing Problem: How Structural Factors Explain U.S. Patterns, by Gregg Colburn and Clayton Page Aldern
    • Session One (Chapters 1-3): March 6th
    • Session Two (Chapters 4-5): March 27th
