Every year, thousands of Springfield, MO families face eviction court — most without a lawyer by their side. What does that mean for our neighbors, and what would change if every tenant facing eviction had a Right to Counsel?
Join us on Saturday, September 27, 2025, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. a National Avenue Christian Church (1515 S National Ave) for an interactive community teach-in. Together we’ll:
- Watch mock eviction trials that show what court looks like with and without legal representation
- Learn how a Right to Counsel could make Springfield more fair, stable, and just
- Volunteer to step into the role of a tenant in our mock trial and experience what eviction court feels like firsthand
- Connect with neighbors and take action to bring this policy to life in our city
