The U.S. House Agriculture Committee has proposed a $300 billion cut to SNAP, nearly 30% of the federal funding for the nation’s largest anti-hunger program and the largest cut in the 85-year history of the program. One out of ten Missourians use SNAP benefits to put meals on their table. These cuts to SNAP will take food away from Missourians in need and unsustainably shift costs to our state budget. Use the form below to sign on to our letter to Missouri’s congressional delegation urging them to stand up for Missouri families and protect SNAP.

I live in a rule community and it is not easy to shop for food, the only place to shop is Wal- Mart and with disabilities translation is not easy. If staff can not take me and the OATs is not running you can not get to the store to get the things to eat. Know séance you are cutting my food bill in half try and put health food on the table.
I would like for you to come and shop or eat dinner one day with me.

Military people and families rely on SNAP. People think gov pays for everything…that is so not true. Boots are especially expensive.
Salary starts at $27,828 before taxes.

There is a lot of people who depend on snap not only our seniors but children as well. With the rising cost of everything our community has several people not able to purchase food on their income weather it be fixed income or employment.
Cutting or ending snap would only add to our community suffering.
