The Development Intern will work alongside Empower Missouri\u2019s Development team to support fundraising efforts that sustain and grow the organization\u2019s impact across the state. Our work focuses on building strong relationships with donors and partners who make our advocacy possible.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this role, you\u2019ll contribute to donor stewardship, prospect research, data tracking, fundraising campaigns, and event support. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in nonprofit fundraising, communications, and learning how development work supports social justice advocacy.<\/span><\/p>\n

What You\u2019ll Do<\/b><\/p>\n

\u25cf Support donor stewardship by drafting thank-you letters, emails, and notes<\/span>
<\/span>\u25cf Help maintain and update donor records in the EveryAction CRM database<\/span>
<\/span>\u25cf Conduct research on potential individual, corporate, and foundation donors<\/span>
<\/span>\u25cf Assist with planning and logistics for fundraising campaigns and appeals <\/span>
<\/span>\u25cf Help create donor acknowledgment and recognition materials<\/span>
<\/span>\u25cf Support donor and fundraising events, including invitations, registrations, and follow-up<\/span>
<\/span>\u25cf Assist with pulling and organizing monthly development metrics and reports<\/span>
<\/span>\u25cf Provide general administrative support to the Advancement team as needed<\/span><\/p>\n

What We\u2019re Looking For<\/b><\/p>\n

\u25cf An interest in nonprofit fundraising, philanthropy, or donor relations
\u25cf Commitment to social justice and Empower Missouri\u2019s mission and values.
\u25cf Strong written and verbal communication skills
\u25cf Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks<\/p>\n


Students studying nonprofit management, business, communications, marketing, public administration, or a related field\u2014especially those in their third or fourth year\u2014may find this role a strong fit.<\/p>\n

Time Commitment<\/b><\/p>\n

\u25cf 15 hours per week (flexible schedule).
\u25cf Availability for some meetings between 9:00 a.m. \u2013 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
\u25cf This is a remote position open to candidates located in Missouri. Some travel may be required to support in-person events or donor engagement activities in Mid-Missouri.<\/p>\n
