What does that mean for our neighbors, and what would change if every tenant facing eviction had a Right to Counsel?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Join us on&nbsp;<strong>Saturday, September 27, 2025, 1:00 p.m. &#8211; 3:00 p.m.<\/strong>&nbsp;a&nbsp;<strong>National Avenue Christian Church (1515 S National Ave)<\/strong>&nbsp;for an interactive&nbsp;<strong>community teach-in<\/strong>. Together we\u2019ll:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Watch&nbsp;<strong>mock eviction trials<\/strong>&nbsp;that show what court looks like with and without legal representation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learn how a Right to Counsel could make Springfield more fair, stable, and just<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Volunteer to step into the role of a tenant<\/strong>&nbsp;in our mock trial and experience what eviction court feels like firsthand<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Connect with neighbors and take action to bring this policy to life in our city<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This event is&nbsp;<strong>free and open to the public<\/strong>. Bring your questions, your curiosity, and your commitment to housing justice.
