The St. Louis Area Chapter of Empower Missouri is the community education arm of the statewide organization. The local chapter has its own board of directors who govern the activities of the chapter. The chapter holds monthly educational forum for its members and for the community at large. These forums are currently held on the 3rd Friday of the month at Noon at the Highlands Golf Course in Forest Park. For decades and until its closure about 10 years ago, the St. Louis Chapter forums were held at the famous Salad Bowl Restaurant on Lindell Blvd.
Most of the Chapter members live in St. Louis City or St. Louis County but the chapter reaches to Jefferson and St. Charles counties as well.
Christine Woody is the staff person for the St. Louis Chapter of Empower Missouri. She helps organize the educational forums, represents the organization at local community meetings and educates the community on the policies the overall organization is advocating for or against.
Join our discussion and find out how you can participate in empowering Missouri in our St. Louis Chapter Google+ Page.
We are always looking to add new people to the St. Louis Chapter Board. If interested in serving on this board please contact Christine Woody
